On June 2nd, at approximately 10:10 am, Winlock Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Interstate 5 South Bound near Mile Post 67. Initial reports were that a single vehicle had exited the roadway and rolled over in the far right shoulder of the interstate.
Mutual aid was provided by Napavine Fire who arrived on scene to find the driver of the vehicle had self-extricated himself and suffered minor injuries. The driver was checked and his minor injuries were treated on scene. The driver did not want to be transported to the hospital and was left on scene with law enforcement. The driver had indicated that he was on a road trip from Seattle to Reno, Nevada.
The incident is under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
