Traffic Accident

On May 5th, 2022 at approximately 10:15 am, Winlock Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Meier Road near Hart Road. The vehicle had struck a utility pole and was resting on it's roof.
Upon arrival, crews located the driver still inside the overturned vehicle unable to get out. The driver was the only occupant and stated that he was not injured. All the doors were jammed shut, but a rear door was forced open the driver was successfully extricated without incident.
Crews checked the driver out as a precaution, but he was uninjured and was released at the scene.
The accident is under investigation by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

On May 3rd, 2022 at approximately 3:00 pm, Winlock Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 6400 block of Interstate 5 in the North Bound lanes. Upon arrival, fire crews noticed a Toyota RAV 4 with it's engine compartment on fire.

On April 16th, 2022 at approximately 6:52 pm, Winlock Fire & Rescue was dispatched to an injury motor vehicle accident on Interstate 5 South bound, just North of Exit 63. This accident was just one of many accidents in the area after a massive hail storm caused extreme driving conditions.
